Our beaches and waterways are some of our region’s greatest assets. Yet with sea level rise and changing weather patterns, they can also be our greatest threats. We’re partnering with the City of Neptune Beach to pilot technology, collect data and plan investments that will build resiliency in our coastal communities for generations to come.
Networked sensors located at Jarboe Park, Kings Road bridge and under manholes along the system are tracked via cloud-based software enabling real-time weather data and alerts for flow events. The data collected will also be used for comprehensive planning, to prioritize investments and apply for resiliency grants. See what we're doing in the video below.
