For over a decade, Kedgar Volta has created immersive art, told dynamic stories, and designed memorable moments as a vital member of the Jacksonville creative arts and business community. As co-founder and Creative Director of Castano Group, his multimedia, multi-sensory experiences have connected audiences with insight and emotion in often surprising ways. Kedgar’s media art projects have garnered national, and international acclaim. In 2015, he was named Emerging Artist of the Year by the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, and he’s a 2019 Featured Artist for MOCA Jacksonville’s Project Atrium. Kedgar’s media art has also been featured at Art Basel Miami Beach, the Telfair Museums in Savannah, Georgia, and the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. In addition, his work with Castano Group has been recognized by Communication Arts in its Interactive Annual and has won numerous national ADDY Awards and Regional Emmy Awards.
Kedgar has created permanent projection mapping installations for clients such as Baptist Health and digital interactive installations for clients such as Feeding Northeast Florida and the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. He’s also collaborated on design plans with architectural and engineering teams, including projects with the Haskell Company, FreemanWhite, and Miller Electric, among others.
